Goat Girl and Crooked Prancer

 Sup artfans!

You all may remember this little character - It's goat girl! I tried giving her a name and have a bit of a story around her but I have not come up with anything more suiting than just Goat Girl. It's who she is! Still playing around with colours for her but I like these for now.

Aaaaand a new painting I did last night! Gotta be creepy cause it's October and Hallowe'en right?! Right. This just kind of started out as painting using one brush. Funfun!

It's a new year

Hope everyone had a fun time ringing in the New Year. It is now 2012, as crazy as it sounds. 2011 passed in a ferver of excitement and deadlines. I did more reading in the past year than I had since I think grade school, and I feel better for it. (: I just started reading A Feast for Crows today, and I cannot wait to read more later tonight. (AFFC being the fourth book in A Song of Ice and Fire aka A Game of Thrones for you tv viewers)

Alsoooo, yes!  This is my 100th blog posting. It seems like such an astronomical number when I think about all the entries that had to be made, but I suppose my updating every day in November sketch-a-thon really helped P:

I like where this little character sketch is going.. she looks like she would be amazing to animate. Trying to learn flash... I find it irritating for the most part. B:

Cirque Du Soleil: Quidam sketches

I had the pleasure of going to see Quidam Cirque Du Soleil show in Toronto yesterday. My first Cirque show! To state it simply, it was superb. So many times during the performance I just wanted to yell "STOP! Hold that pose!" so I could sketch it. These are just some memory sketches, no more than 3 mins per sketch I'd say. Was fun going back through the characters and reliving the acts in my head. I can't wait to see another Cirque Show :D

Well, day 30. There ya go, I made it! Mama Mary is a simple happy woman who loves to bake and dance at the same time. Figured I would end this draw-a-thon off with a happy figure of celebration!

For the next few weeks I have some scheduled updates planned cause I don't really know for sure if I will have access to internet much, if at all, but I still wanted to share some other little things I had been working on over the past little while.

At the time of this posting I will be well on my way to Florida!! O:

Cindy is a walked all over young woman that lives by herself in a tough neighbourhood trying to make it on her own merits in a highstress working environment. Naive and simple in the ways of the darker side of life.

Kitty is a 'late 20 something'. I imagine her to be the star of some romantic comedy where the lead freaks out about getting older and fat and in a last ditch effort has a hilarious day at the beach because she is so fat and is wearing a bikini but then her husky likable all man's man crush comes to swoop her off her feet. Also, she's kind of fat. :l

This giant guy is Thoros.  He is like a giant mix of a tiger and the cheshire cat. Never trust Thoros, especially if he is smiling.

This is feather fingers. He can be a little bit too intense when talking about his favourite movie, Jurassic Park, but dinosaurs are really important to him.

It's a baby minotaur. I'm sure he's friends with Maddy Medusa.

This sketch had a very weird and stunted progression.  It was a serious super muscular minotaur to begin with and then suddenly! This guy.

Sidra is a shape shifting witch who puts on a young face when men travel through her forest. She transforms herself into their ideal woman to hypnotize and lure them into traps so she can later feast upon their souls at the moment just before death by starvation, when their souls are at their sweetest!
