Goat Girl and Crooked Prancer

 Sup artfans!

You all may remember this little character - It's goat girl! I tried giving her a name and have a bit of a story around her but I have not come up with anything more suiting than just Goat Girl. It's who she is! Still playing around with colours for her but I like these for now.

Aaaaand a new painting I did last night! Gotta be creepy cause it's October and Hallowe'en right?! Right. This just kind of started out as painting using one brush. Funfun!

(This was supposed to auto-update earlier today and it didn't. I have no idea why it didn't work, sometimes technology just has it out for me. Anyways, enjoy!)

Whoops! Update!

Hehehe... Sorry for the inactivity around here.  I've been keeping busy but haven't kept up with updating! Got some stuff to scan, commissions to share, etc, but for now a little gift I made for Tristan, my I.T. King.

I have been enjoying copius amounts of video games lately! Played Silent Hill Downpour with some friends over the weekend. Diablo 3 has been out almost a month now and I've been enjoying it like crazy!  I also just bought Humble Bundle 5 which includes quite a few amazing titles, which I suggest everyone jump on! So many games to play, so many arts to be done!

Just sketchin' it out

While my friend was watching the most recent ep of The Walking Dead, she was talking to me on IM and I was sketching.  Now, I've gotten pretty used to this and really don't care much, sometimes asking for the details of the comic myself when she drops the "weeeeell, that's not how it went in the comiiiiiiiiiic/x was this way in the comic while y was that' line but tonight for some reason it irked me a little more than usual and I could not help but for this to be created:

I enjoy talks about the differences between mediums of the same series, I do, but, it often requires me to have enough time to consume both mediums... and while I believe it is my own problem for not having read them yet, so I can't be like OMG NO SPOILERS GUIS, I don't go actively seeking out what's happened when it's my full intent to enjoy the series later on in a different platform. I can still enjoy the show - as a show - on show like merits - as is. Without having to know how it differs with a play by play in every ep.

PS - friend, I still love you, it's ok.  Now I just think it's funny.

11

This is Zed.  She was once the leader of a strong race of warriors when she was injured in battle and barely survived.  Nearly dead and forgetting who she was, pity was taken and a medicine woman was able to save her using hybrid techniques of ancient practices and electronic devices.  She now lives a mundane day to day life, the people around her always fearful that she will get her memories back.

I like this sketch, when I first started my drawing session nothing was coming out, just multitudes of garbage, it was terrible.  I'm glad this progressed organically turning into a lot of fun.

I am probably going to be making a turnaround and character page for her to do some more exploration, I really like the direction this is going.

Also, yesterday I decided to just my website, I like the look of it a lot more... decided to make the header out of a soon to be released coloured pic of Herbie. Lol, don't know why I named him that.

Coming this Winter: The Black Friday Shopper in SALE!

Armed with amazing reflexes and her trusty unending money purse, The Black Friday Shopper is ready to take on one of the toughest shopping day of the year. Daring window shopping, intense bargaining, and the fastest clocked check-out in the world, The Black Friday Shopper is sure to leave you breathless...for sales!

Why isn't this movie being made yet?  It would be awesome!!

(Probably not, but through the sketch seemed like a ninja/superhero and for some reason Black Friday popped up in my head. It's around American Thanksgiving isn't it?  And that's coming up right? Let's go with that.)

Happy Halloween. Part: The Second.

Hey artfans (:

Here is the second part of my Happy Halloween giving. It's a little were-wolf/cat man thing. I had been sketching cats before drawing this picture and it just kept coming out so feline, but found that I really liked it that way, so finally settled on this design.

I went through a few different little versions of ending details and had a hard time deciding which I liked the best.. Did I make the right choice?

I love Halloween.

Try the Chilly Chicken

So, Chili Chicken is one of my favourite dishes from one of my favourite restaurants. I always imagine a cold, chilly chicken however while I'm eating it, despite it being on the slight spicey side as you can imagine, it has a bit of a kick!

Also, I tried to work really loose for the sketching and the clean up, getting out of my comfort zone in terms of brush use.  The results are mixed but it feels nice to have time to just scribble again.

I once drew a weird cartoon chicken on the take-out box of a friends left-overs, and I've always wanted to actually make a drawing of it.  Now seemed the appropriate time as I have drawn a lot of chickens and birds this year working on my thesis film Yaga. @.@

School is over and I am graduated and moved out of my college apartment.  The transition has not been smooth, there always seems to be a lot of potholes in the roads to my goals, but I suppose if it was easy, everyone would be trying to do it.  Right? (:

I have a new website up, amberanimation.com (or .ca!) where I am going to keep things a little more professional.  Check it out, it's lookin' pretty spiffy over there.

90's The Angry Beavers

Done a bit ago but I kinda forgot about it. At the end of term my roommates and I had a massive 90's cartoons discussion.

I used to love this show, just the way Norbert and Dagg talked to eachother. I could definately go for watching that show again.

This was an interesting little experiment, not my regular type of thing at all.
